Luanne Wood, RHIT, CALA, CDP,
Health Information Specialist

Luanne Wood, RHIT, CALA, CDP, Health Information Specialist, has been consulting in over 80 post-acute centers throughout the New Jersey-Pennsylvania area since 1979.  She also has had two decades of experience conducting medical reviews for the Peer Review Organization of New Jersey and Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc.

After receiving her credentials in Health Information Management, she received her certification from the New Jersey Department of Health as an Assisted Living Administrator. Most recently, she became certified as a Certified Dementia Practitioner by The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

Ms. Wood is also the Health Information Management Instructor for the Administrator’s 100 Hour Workshop sponsored by Townco Consultant, Inc.  She is a lecturer throughout the state, presenting topics in HIPAA and Legalities of Nursing Documentation in the Long Term Care Setting.

In 2011, she completed training from AHIMA in Chicago as an ICD 10 Trainer. For the past two years, she has been actively conducting ICD-10 seminars, focusing exclusively in the post-acute care setting.

Tanvi Desai
Director of Rehabilitation Services at Parker Homes

Tanvi Desai is the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Parker Homes, a non for profit organization specializing in Aging services.

She has over fifteen years of experience as a Geriatric Physical Therapist, managing Rehab Teams in various healthcare settings. She also currently works as a Rehab Agency Medicare surveyor.

Prior to Parker, her last position was Director of Rehabilitation at Daughters of Israel, West Orange.

Under Tanvi’s leadership, the Rehab Center at Daughters of Israel was named a 2013 ‘Physical Rehabilitation Center of the Year’ in the NJ Biz Healthcare Heroes Awards.

Tanvi is Eden certified and comes with a strong background in treating Elders with various neurological and orthopedic conditions.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures of the world along with her husband and young children.
